LED Plug with  Cold Lead

The easiest way to know if the cable is operating is to take a quick look at the plug. The plug itself has a small LED light embedded inside that glows orange when the cable is plugged into an active GFCI outlet.

Heat Tape Pro also comes standard with a  built in cold lead. This is in addition to the heat tape length you purchase.For example, ordering a 100ft cable gets you 100ft of heated cable plus a 10ft built in extension cord in addition which comes out to be 110ft in full.

Heat Tape Pro is safe to be installed directly on a metal, rubber, wood, asphalt, clay, synthetic roof and more.Unlike a constant wattage heating cable our self-regulating cable is safe to be installed directly on a metal roof without any overheating that could result in a fire.Heat Tape Pro will never overheat even if overlapped on top of itself.

Self-Regulating Heat Tape

Heat Tape Pro is a self-regulating heating cable.

That means at 50F or warmer it will draw 6 watts per foot minimum. When temperatures reach 32F or colder the cable will draw 9.6 watts per foot maximum*.

The cable will NOT power off automatically. It will only self-regulate between the 6 - 9.6 watts power draw range based on ambient temperature. It will always remain on while plugged in.
