Rotating Die Set: Stamped dies are less dimensionally exact than EDM cutting dies, which helps to avoid erroneous crimps. Small rotating die for quick die changes. Size Coded Crimping: When crimped correctly, the connection will bear the die code number in an embossed pattern that makes it simple to check whether the right die and connector were used.

Hexagonal crimping produces a large area of high pressure contact between the cable and the connector, which leads to low resistance and high pull-out values. This creates a strong mechanical connection.

For ultimate strength and longevity, the LK-60A Cable Cutter is made of chrome vanadium steel with bevelled cutting blades that have been induction hardened. 1/0 AWG aluminium and copper cable can be easily cut with a shear-type jaw. Not for use with ACSR type cable or steel.
