Pro Tip - To get the appropriate amount of pressure from the tamper for a tighter pack and deeper taste, make sure your portafilter basket is fully dosed with coffee grinds. Groom the top of the basket with a finger or flat edge before levelling and tamping for the best results. Use excellent, filtered water to brew.

58mm Adjustable Distributor & Tamper - 58mm Base intended to operate with most portafilters and espresso machine types including: Breville (the dual boiler, the oracle, and the orcale touch), Rancilio, La Pavoni, Hamilton Beach, ECM, La Marzocco, Rocket, Alex Duetto, Astoria, and all E61 group machines.

HOW IT WORKS:

STEP 1 - Fill your portafilter basket halfway with freshly ground coffee.

STEP 2 - Retract the distributor side to its shallowest depth and set the distributor, blade side down, on your portafilter.

STEP 3 - Spin the distributor gently until the coffee grinds are evenly spread and levelled. Adjust the depth if the distributor does not reach the coffee. Please keep in mind that you only want to apply enough pressure to the grinds at this point to level the coffee in the basket.

STEP 4 - Turn the distributor over and extend the tamper to its fullest height (flat side). Tamp your grounds to the pressure you want.

STEP 5 - To ensure consistent tamping, adjust the tamper depth to match the depth of the tamp you made in Step 4.
